However, he toiled for years on his father’s fields and saved a few paise each day. With a little bit of help from his elder brothers, he managed to get himself medical education. Dr. Vijay Sharma completed his D.H.M.S from Satchiksta Prasarak Mandal’s Homeopathic College, Yavatmal in 1985. Within a year, in 1986 he began his private practice in Nanded, but it wasn’t easy.
Homeopathy was taken to be similar to voodoo practices and with modern medicine being more popular, it was arduous to build a flourishing practice. Dr. Sharma persevered and proved that with dedication, grit and faith anything is possible.
In 1993, he opened Nanded district’s 1st Only Homeopathy Pharmacy called – Vishwashanti Homeo Pharmacy (Now called Sharma Homoeopathy Pharmacy). He was also one of the first doctors to use a computer in private practice in Nanded. Giving back to the community is important to Dr. Sharma. He is a founding member and is affiliated with many NGOs. He was one of the first to introduce Rainwater Harvesting Initiative in Nanded. A founding member of “Jal-Astha Pariwar”, they worked day and night to spread awareness of the depleting waterbed levels and importance of recycling rainwater in cities and villages.
A founding member of “Shantidham Seva Pratishthan” he works to maintain, beautify & develop Hindu crematory in and around Nanded city. Actively involved in works of “Nandanvan”, a residential school & home for mentally challenged adults in Nerli, Nanded. Dr. Vijay Sharma’s story was and continues to be an inspiration to many aspiring homeopathic doctors. His empire of homoeopathy that started from Nanded has spread all over the country owing to his perseverance, integrity, dedication to his practice and decades of experience having helped countless people.

In addition, watching his father, Dr. Vijay Sharma, from a very young age helped him become the seasoned doctor he is now. Dr. Swadhin opened new avenues and began his practice in Mumbai in 2012 and manages both, Nanded and Mumbai branches. He is extremely comfortable with technology and is always up to date with the latest softwares in medical practice. In fact, he developed MARK-1– an in-house patient/clinic management software that makes the entire treatment experience seamless for his patients.
Dr. Swadhin also founded Cureopathy.com, Marathawada’s first healthtech start-up and is in the process of implementing telemedicine in homoeopathy. The telemedicine wing currently serves 15000+ pin codes pan India & 16 countries.
